The Max Owens Design approach is all about highlighting what nature has to offer and creating artful arrangements with movement and soul. Pieces that are abundant yet understated, untamed but deliberate, and that beautifully set the scene for a memorable event or in your home.
Maxine Owens began her design career in the world of visual merchandising, and honed her eye in both fashion and interiors, which inherently led her to working in weddings, with floral as her main medium. Max Owens Design allows her to combine and express her talents and creativity and her love of using natural elements to form something beautiful. With floral as her main medium, she thrives in working with couples (and their vendor teams) and being part of a time that is one of their most memorable and people who enjoy natural beauty in their homes albeit for everyday enjoyment or special occasions.
Throughout her ten-plus years as a floral designer, she has always aimed to create an elevated, welcoming atmosphere. She uses movement in all of her arrangements which makes each of them unique—and because stiff and stale is not her thing. Maxine strongly believes that there’s beauty in the unexpected, whether that’s because of a non-traditional color palette, an interesting bloom, or an installation in an unlikely location. And what continues to inspire her is art in all forms.

Maxine loves creating, whether it’s the smallest boutonniere or a large-scale installation. Everything in between is equally exciting, because to her, there’s something amazing about making something beautiful with her hands using what nature has to offer.
There’s something so special about designing the flowers for a wedding, working with a couple and their creative team to craft the ultimate setting for such a significant occasion. And while weddings give us quite a thrill, we’re equally as excited to be a part of events of all kinds, from engagement parties, to holiday gatherings, to intimate celebrations. Then again, being surrounded by flowers and other natural elements is reason to celebrate enough, and we also create arrangements for private homes, restaurants, and hotels.
